The room was very nice. The fireplace was a nice touch. The refrigerator was good for leftovers and microwave had the popcorn. Bed very comfortable.
Parking on the premises was a surprise. It was nonexistent until another car left. The staff said we could park on the street from 6 pm until 8:15 am, then they ticket. On vacation I like to relax and did not relish the idea of getting up so early to move my car. Serving apple cider instead of wine for an evening social hour was different. We had never used a Keurig coffeemaker so were perplexed on how it operates. The directions were not explicit. Not many channels on the tv. As there were a great deal of older people staying here, they needed a elevator or someone to help with the baggage. Rooms not soundproof, could hear people next door and outside.
Heterosexual friendly. My wife and I were looking to get away from our bickering grown children. As I researched, I came across this hotel. All others were far more expensive. When we looked at the photos of the place, we felt that it would be alright for what we were paying. When we arrived, the exterior looked great. The parking lot including the garage, was coble stone. The rooms have a charming cozy feeling, but the rooms are huge. The fact that the hotel is in the center of town is a major draw. We walked everywhere. We will definately be back. We already decided, Carmel is going to be our special get away spot. We will not be taking the kids. They can go to Monterey with us, but not Carmel.
Cleanliness, location, comfort, friendly, welcoming
Pillow too high
Great location - walk to everything. Disappointed in overall 'motel' type atmosphere
Location,ambience,had a relaxed feeling
Breakfast to yor room a great idea but quality lacking
Good location - easy walk to centre of Carmel. Size of room good - plenty of space.
Patchy WiFi Room a bit stuffy, no air con Noise level from adjacent rooms Decor could do with a refresh
Good location, good room size
No lifts, 2 heavy cases onto third floor
Free cookies everyday, location, comfortable bed
Proximity to shops and ocean. Nice clean room. Accomodating staff as we arrived early but was allowed check-in (2 hours early). We shall definitely return in future visits to the area.
It was not clear that Coachman's Inn allowed dogs. After arrival we were told yes they do allow them but only in certain rooms. Same for families with small children - this allows the staff to assure peace for those requesting rooms away from disturbances. I think this is great but the concept was unclear on the website we used to book the room.
Roomas are fine, good parking available. Breakfast is pretty meagre and would be th eonly negartive that i woudl have to report.
Conveniently located. Breakfast delivered to room. Very clean rooms. Romantic decor.
Spa hours were too short. Usually we like to sit in the spa at the end of the day.
Excellent hotel location is ideal for Carmel and pebble beach used for one night stop over on way to San fran rooms were excellent. Didn't use any services so can't comment but if I was out that way again would stay again and would recommend to others
This is a clean, nice well priced Inn in an excellent location in the middle of Carmel. You can walk to anything. Our room was large and nicely furnished and the staff was helpful and friendly. We considered some more expensive places but we are glad we stayed here. From the outside the other places did not look appreciably nicer.
The Inn gives a very modest continental breakfast, not a real breakfast. This was fine with us as we are not big breakfast eaters, but if you expect home cooked bacon and eggs, for example, you will not get it. You will get coffee and orange juice, cold cereal and a croissant.
Location. Really good bathroom.
When we arrived, three or four people of the staff knocked on the door insistently looking for a earring belonged to another guest. It was really annoying. The bedroom is not bad, but the hotel is overpriced. The breakfast was really small (I read the critics about that and I thought maybe people were demanding too much, but it was accurate...).
We liked the cleanliness, comfort and the over and above treatment of the grtacious staff from housekeeping to management. Just a great experience.
